摘要: Abstract. An episodic simulation is conducted to characterize midday (12:00–17:00 CDT) ozone (O3) photochemical production and investigate its sensitivity emission changes of precursors in the Mexico City Metropolitan Area (MCMA) during an "O3-South" meteorological episode using Comprehensive Air Quality Model with extensions (CAMx). High Ox (O3+NO2) rates 10–80 ppb/h are predicted due high reactivity volatile organic compounds (VOCs) which alkanes, alkenes, aromatics exert comparable contributions. The efficiency between 4–10 O3 molecules per NOx molecule oxidized, increases VOC-to-NO2 ratio. Process apportionment analyses indicate significant outflow pollutants such as peroxyacetyl nitrate (PAN) from urban area surrounding regional environment. PAN not chemical-thermal equilibrium photochemically active periods. Sensitivity studies suggest that formation MCMA region less chemical aging (NOz/NOy
