摘要: This review is summarizing an important part of the state art in stratum corneum research. A complete overview on discoveries about general biophysical and physicochemical properties known ceramide species' provided. The ceramides are one three major components lipid matrix mainly govern its structure. They shown to exhibit very little redundancy, despite minor differences their chemical results discussed, compared each other as well current base knowledge. New interesting aspects concepts concluded or suggested. novel interpretation 3-dimensional structure influence barrier function will be discussed. most conclusion presentation a new up date theoretical model nanostructure short periodicity phase. suggests perpendicular layers: rigid head group region, chain region and, liquid-like overlapping middle layer. principle skin highlighted regard this properties. As result these considerations, entropy vs. enthalpy introduced, shedding light effectiveness barrier. Additionally, ideas effectively overcome for dermal transdermal delivery actives how use it specific targeting proposed.
