摘要: The partial privatisation of the US Social Security system was clearly top economic policy priority for Bush administration around 2003. While many famous economists, publicists and politicians support, others reject system. Political opposition has defeated plan but basic idea will resurface sooner or later. Until now, international comparisons have been quite infrequent, concentrated on few countries (Chile, Great Britain Sweden) left out similar reforms introduced in situations, like Hungary, Poland other excommunist countries. In an attempt to fill this gap, article I outline lessons learnt from Hungarian reform, which started 1998. conclusion is simple: such a reform feasible does not solve problems social security (like sustainability equity).
