Analysis of electron microscope images and electron diffraction patterns of thin crystals of Ø29 connectors in ice

摘要: Abstract Images and diffraction patterns of frozen-hydrated thin crystals O29 connectors were recorded using low dose microscopy diffraction. The resolution obtained in two cases was 7 4 A, thus showing the suitability this specimen for high-resolution studies. Seven best images three electron analysed semiquantitatively. image showed presence per unit cell (165 A × 165 A), each having an internal 4-fold axis being related to one-another by 2-fold screw axes space group p 42 1 2. Internal phase comparison within good residuals 2 all its sub-groups. other consistent with interpretation taking into consideration possible crystal tilt drift. We conclude that most likely is Electron assignment, but none precise 422 symmetry expected, almost certainly because slightly tilted (2 5°).
