摘要: ATP sulfurylase (ATPS) catalyzes the first committed step in sulfate assimilation pathway, activation of prior to its reduction. ATPS has been studied only a few model organisms and even these cases much smaller extent than reduction cysteine synthesis enzymes. This is possibly because latter were considered greater regulatory importance for assimilation. Recent evidences (reported this paper) challenge view suggest that may have crucial role assimilation, at least algae. In ensuing text, we summarize current knowledge on ATPS, with special attention processes control activity gene(s) expression Special given algae proteins. The focus consequence fact comprehensive investigation revealed algal enzymes, especially those are most likely involved pathway cysteine, possess features not present other organisms. Remarkably, proteins show great diversity isoforms high content residues, whose positions often conserved. According occurrence eukaryotic closer marine cyanobacteria genera Synechococcus Prochlorococcus more distant from freshwater cyanobacteria. These characteristics might evolved parallel radiation oceans increase concentration seawater.
