Association and Prognostic Significance of the Functional −1562C/T Polymorphism in the Promoter Region of MMP-9 in Turkish Patients with Gastric Cancer

摘要: Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) are a group of zinc-dependent peptidases that participate in matrix turnover solid malignancies. The aim this study was twofold. First, we sought to investigate under case-control design the association between functional -1562C/T polymorphism promoter region MMP-9 and gastric cancer (GC) Turkish sample. Second, examined its prognostic significance GC patients. A total 144 subjects were enrolled (79 cases 65 controls).
