摘要: Abstract This work presents the effect of surface roughness on corrosion behavior superalloy IN718 in simulated marine environment gas turbine engine, at 600 °C. Samples varying (400–1000 grit) were spray coated with salt 1S (100 wt% NaCl) and mixtures 2SM (60 wt% Na2SO4+ 40 wt% V2O5) 3SM (75 wt% 15 wt% NaCl+ 10 wt% exposed 600 °C air up to 100 h. The products characterized by using XRD, SEM/EDS EPMA. Corrosion kinetics showed that rate was highest for lS sample all levels finish followed lowest sample. plots clearly indicate oxide layer less protective higher due larger area enhanced diffusion corrodants material.
