Quercetin, a bioflavonoid, accelerates TNF-α-induced growth inhibition and apoptosis in MC3T3-E1 osteoblastic cells

摘要: Abstract The bioflavonoid quercetin is believed to play an important role in preventing bone loss by affecting osteoclastogenesis and regulating many systemic local factors including hormones cytokines. This study examined how acts on tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α)-mediated growth inhibition apoptosis MC3T3-E1 osteoblastic cells. Tritium uptake assay showed that a treatment accelerated TNF-α-induced of DNA synthesis the cells dose-dependent manner. Both 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2yl-)-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide trypan blue staining assays also quercetin-mediated facilitation cytotoxicity Apoptosis revealed accelerating effect In addition, Fas activation poly (ADP ribose) polymerase cleavage are thought be closely associated with its acceleration Collectively, this accelerates
