摘要: This study aimed to evaluate enamel roughness after adhesive removal using different burs and an Er:YAG laser. The buccal surfaces of forty human premolars were sealed by two layers nail varnish, except for a circular area 3 mm in diameter on the middle third. The initially subjected profilometry analysis four parameters surface irregularity (Ra, Rq, Rt Rz) recorded. Following bracket bonding debonding, remnants removed tungsten carbide low- or high- speed handpieces (group 1 2, respectively), ultrafine diamond bur 3) laser (250 mJ, long pulse, 4 Hz) 4), measured again. Then, polished third measurements performed. The specimens that cleaned with low showed no significant difference between treatment stages (p>0.05). Surface increased significantly clean-up (p<0.01). In comparison groups, at slow- high-speed produced lowest, while caused highest values (P<0.05).Under conditions, application irreversible damage tooth surface, thus these methods could not be recommended removing debonding orthodontic brackets.
