摘要: Several studies have associated exposure to environmental pollutants, especially polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), with the development of cardiovascular diseases. Considering that 1-hydroxypyrene (1-OHP) is major biomarker pyrenes, purpose this study was evaluate potential association between 1-OHP and oxidative stress/inflammatory biomarkers in patients who had suffered an acute myocardial infarction (AMI). After adopting exclusion criteria, 58 post-infarction 41 controls were sub-divided into smokers non-smokers. Urinary 1-OHP, hematological biochemical parameters, stress (MDA, SOD, CAT, GPx exogenous antioxidants) inflammatory (hs-CRP) analyzed. levels increased post-infarct compared (p < 0.05) correlated MDA (r = 0.426, p 0.01), CAT 0.474, 0.001) β-carotene −0.309; Furthermore, elevated hs-CRP, MDA, for both Besides, SOD activity decreased patients. In summary, our findings indicate pyrenes lipid damage alterations endogenous antioxidants, demonstrating PAHs contribute are infarction.
