Evaluation of alternative fuels for the Greek road transport sector using the analytic hierarchy process

摘要: Abstract This paper evaluates alternative fuels for the Greek road transport sector, using Analytic Hierarchy Process. Seven different alternatives of fuel mode are considered in this paper: internal combustion engine (ICE) and its combination with petroleum 1st 2nd generation biofuels blends, cells, hybrid vehicles, plug-in hybrids electric vehicles. The evaluation modes is performed according to cost policy aspects. In order evaluate each fuel, one base scenario ten scenarios weight factors selection per criterion presented. After deciding fuels’ scoring against criteria weights, their synthesis gives overall score ranking all scenarios. It concluded that ICE blended most suitable sector.
