摘要: The adsorption of ethylene on Si(100)(2 × 1) has been studied using high-resolution electron energy loss spectroscopy. Upon adsorption, the molecule re hybridizes from sp2 to and forms a di-σ bonded structure surface. However, bonding surface silicon atoms — whether or not SiSi dimer bond remains cannot be derived just study adsorption. With low exposures atomic hydrogen ethylene-saturated Si(100) surface, we observed an additional SiH vibrational mode no significant change in chemisorbed spectrum. This result leads conclusion that dangling bonds still exist after they are accessible hydrogen. Consequently, must accompanied by cleavage original
