摘要: Alternative splicing occurs frequently in many genes, especially those involved immunity. Unfortunately, the functions of alternatively spliced molecules from immunologically relevant genes remain unknown. Classical HLA-I are expressed on almost all nucleated cells and play a pivotal role both innate adaptive Although splice variants have been reported, details their not reported. In current study, we determined characteristics, expression, function novel variant HLA-A11 named HLA-A11svE4 is located cell surface without β2-microglobulin (β2m). Additionally, forms homodimers as well heterodimers with HLA-A open conformers, instead combining β2m. Moreover, inhibits activation NK to protect target cells. Compared β2m HLA-A11, heterodimer protected lysis by more effectively. Furthermore, HLA-AsvE4 expression was upregulated HIV-1 vivo HSV, CMV, hepatitis B virus vitro. addition, our findings indicated that were functional activating CD8+ T through Ag presentation. Taken together, these results suggested can homodimerize form heterodimeric complex conformers. data consistent playing immune escape HIV-1.
