摘要: Purpose: S-plasty for pilonidal disease reduces the tension on midline by distributing it diagonally and flattening natal cleft. The aim of this study was to evaluate outcomes simple primary closure clinical features patients in a low incidence country. Methods: applied 17 from July 2008 October 2010. Data these were collected with computerized prospective database forms during perioperative period via telephone interview follow-up. Surgical site infection (SSI) defined according Center Disease Control guidelines. severity surgical graded. Results: All treated S-plasty. Two (11.7%) developed grade SSI. average healing time after 18.1 days. No recurrences observed. mean follow-up 13.5 months (range, 6 33 months). Conclusion: We have shown that is simple, its are compatible results other treatments. present as feasible treatment option
