摘要: Effective preharvest control measures for Escherichia coli O157:H7 in cattle may significantly reduce the incidence of human disease caused by this organism. The prevalence and magnitude fecal E. excretion was evaluated 15 pens (300 to 500 per pen) commercial feedlot fed a barley-based finishing ration compared with that corn-based ration. Average 2.4% barley-fed 1.3% corn-fed (P < 0.05), average 3.3 log CFU/g 3.0 0.01). Corn-fed had lower pH values (5.85) than did (6.51) 0.01), total generic concentration group animals (6.24 CFU/g) greater (5.55 Specific feed ingredients impact frequency cattle.
