摘要: The analysis of gene function in many monocotyledonous species has been held back to a certain extent by the difficulties stable transformation. This chapter discusses increasing use transient planta expression systems available for both RNA interference (RNAi)-mediated downregulation and overexpression target genes interest monocots, as well advantages disadvantages or limitations associated with each approach. In particular, existing virus-induced gene-silencing (VIGS) systems, virus-mediated (VOX) other common based on microprojectile particle bombardment Agrobacterium-mediated delivery are reviewed, some more specialized that have developed recently functional analyses monocots.
