摘要: The complete DNA sequence of the human polyomavirus AS virus (ASV) is presented. Although ASV can be differentiated antigenically from other polyomaviruses (BK and JC viruses), it shares 94.9% homology at nucleotide level with Dunlop strain BK virus. Differences found in relative to include absence tandem repeats its regulatory region, deletion 32 nucleotides late mRNA leader region (altering initiation codon for agnoprotein), presence a cluster base pair substitutions within coding major capsid protein, VP1, 4 amino acids carboxy-terminal early T antigen. 43 deleted Gardner prototype are present ASV. Possible reasons distinct antigenicity capsid, given high degree virus, discussed. To reflect between we suggest renamed BKV(AS).
