摘要: Background: Carcinoma of the gallbladder is diagnosed in 0.3-1.5% all cholecystectomy specimens. Objectives: To establish overall rate carcinoma and unexpected based on our experience. Methods: We retrospectively evaluated consecutive cholecystectomies performed ward during a 6 year period order to determine incidence identify common characteristics this particular group patients. Results: Of 1,697 years, was six patients (0.35%) but not suspected prior surgery any them. In accordance with literature, occurrence women (5/6) higher than men (1/6). The mean age 70 years (range 55-90). most symptom abdominal pain; majority had cholelithiasis, pathologic report confirmed diagnosis adenocarcinoma Conclusions: unsuspected series 0.35%. could find for when compared non-malignant pathology.
