摘要: Background. Plexiform ameloblastoma is more common in younger patients while and the follicular pattern frequently seen older patients. However, factors implicated determining microscopic growth of are unclear.Methods. A total 23 cases were included this study divided into 2 groups according to age : group A≤15 years (12 cases), B≥60 (11 cases). Each was assessed for predominant histological (follicular vs. plexiform) immunoreactivity with monoclonal antibodies Ki-67 CD31. labeling index, intratumor microvessel density (IMVD) area (IMVA) calculated each case.Results. The majority exhibited a plexiform pattern, predominated among B. IMVD, IMVA significantly higher than When patterns compared, only IMVD statistically ameloblastoma.Conclusions. Our results suggest that angiogenesis could affect tumor ameloblastoma. Both influenced by patient age.
