摘要: Selection theories of drug use propose that individuals choose or self-select into peer groups on the basis perceived similarities with other group members regard to their beliefs, attitudes, and histories use. The purpose present study was determine whether a shared history exposure would influence choice social partner. Adolescent male rats were treated either cocaine (3.0 mg/kg, intraperitoneally) saline preference for cocaine-treated rat saline-treated measured in partner test. Next, series conditioning trials conducted which paired alternating days 10 days. Finally, second test conducted, partners reassessed. Relative baseline, showed an increase amount time they spent similarly partner, this effect driven by increasing proximity after conditioning. These findings support selection model showing is sufficient establish one individual over another.
