摘要: Abstract Deep purification, especially the removal of trace elements from rare earth metal gadolinium (Gd) is challenging, due to their strong affinity and high chemical reactivity. Herein we present an effective approach explore purification mechanism via a novel Gas-solid two-phase method under vacuum. All impurity were analyzed by glow discharge mass spectrometry (GDMS) inert gas analysis (IGA). Both metallic impurities oxygen can be reduced effectively after process, (O) concentration close zero. The driving force, migration paths, laws mechanisms various studied in detail. Interactions during ultra-high process had been explored using specific technology secondary ion spectroscopy (SIMS).
