摘要: Interactive fisheye views use distortion to show both local detail and global context in the same display space. Although fisheyes allow presentation inspection of large data sets, effects can cause problems for users. One such problem is memorability – ability find go back objects features data. In this paper we investigate issue how people remember object locations distorted spaces, using a Sarkar-Brown lens that drastically affects We carried out two studies. The first gathered information about what memory strategies choose at increasing levels distortion, without presupposing any particular strategy. second looked more closely (maintaining mental map, landmarks data) affected performance. found as increases, do different higher become increasingly important aids.
