Characterisation of 2-amino-2-deoxy-d-glucose, 2-amino-2-deoxy-d-galactose, and related compounds, as their trimethylsilyl derivatives by gas-liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry

摘要: Abstract Combined gas-liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) has been used for the analysis of 2-amino-2-deoxy- d -glucose, -galactose, their methyl glycosides, and corresponding alditols, as well N -acetylated forms. The compounds were analyzed trimethylsilyl (TMS) derivatives synthesized by using chlorotrimethylsilane hexamethyldisilazane in pyridine, or these reagents together with bis(trimethylsilyl)acetamide. In latter procedure, free amino groups, addition to hydroxyl are also trimethylsilylated. Identification was based on retention times chromatography mass-spectral characteristics. value GC-MS TMS polysaccharides is discussed.
