摘要: The United States Eastern Interconnection (EI) might go through some profound changes due to the increasing penetration of wind power in this bulk grid, including worsening frequency response. However, fast response speed electronic converter devices makes it possible that kinetic energy stored and/or reserve (if exists) variable-speed generation could be injected into grid a manner. This portion fast, active contribute regulation EI significantly if implemented with appropriate control schemes. paper introduces basic theories techniques generation. then describes user-defined electrical model controllers built PSS/E. Based on 16,000-bus system dynamic model, case realistic is created. Taking advantage potential contribution evaluated. Simulation results demonstrate current and future sources are promising providing system.
