Effects of Powder Activated Carbon Particle Size on Activated Carbon Monolith's Properties

摘要: Methyl cellulose as organic binder and bentonite clay were simultaneously used to prepare activated carbon monolith (ACM) using powder (PAC) by means of extrusion process. To study the effects PAC particle size on porosity, adsorption, mechanical properties ACMs, four broad types including with less than 150, 90, 50 µm, without screening prepared used. Actually, it was tried improve adsorption capacity, surface area, strength (both compression impact strength) ACMs microparticles certain sizes. The results showed that arranging decreasing significantly improved above-mentioned properties.
