摘要: Abstract Using culture media prepared with the normal K + concentration (about 6 m ) and a variety of reduced concentrations, it was possible to regulate rate growth several cultured mammalian cell lines (3T3, SV-3T3, 3T6). Macromolecular synthesis measured by incorporation [ 3 H]uridine into RNA, H]thymidine DNA, H]leucine protein. Less than 2 halted protein synthesis, but did not effect RNA synthesis. These results are comparable those obtained others studying effects depletion on bacterial cells offers another system for studies interrelationships between transcription translation in eukaryotic cells.
