摘要: After exposure to the hepatitis C virus (HCV) only a minority of patients will resolve infection spontaneously, and prognosis these is excellent. Patients with chronic HCV may develop hepatic fibrosis can experience symptoms, although remain largely non-specific up point cirrhosis has established. At stage cirrhosis, liver failure hepatocellular carcinoma are most important causes increased mortality. The rate disease progression varies considerably among patients, been associated several host virus-related factors. Assessment patient’s individual risk for relevant guidance clinical decision making, especially all upcoming antiviral treatment improvements. Importantly, successful therapy shown great potential prevent chronification acute as well cirrhosis-related morbidity mortality those infection.
