摘要: The reconciliation of biodiversity conservation, ecosystem service provision and agricultural production in tropical landscapes requires recognition the trade-offs between competing land-uses. It is especially relevant for conservation planning to assess whether economic value services spatially congruent with biodiversity. Previous analyses have largely focused on or assumed homogeneous values across land uses within biomes. We relax this assumption by carrying out a explicit meta-analysis based 30 studies forests from Economics Ecosystems Biodiversity (TEEB) database, while controlling economic, environmental methodological variables. Our results demonstrate lack spatial congruence forests. Instead, we find that presents nonlinear inverted-U relationship site accessibility activity, highlighting importance matching supply demand each its beneficiaries be realized. implications are policies focusing solely will fail protect remote less disturbed regions.
