摘要: Bees acquire wing damage as they age, and loss of area affects longevity behaviour. This may influence colony performance via effects on worker The experimental were studied in honeybees observation hives by recording survivorship, how often for long bees foraged, decoding waggle dances. Mortality rate increased with both age damage. Damaged carried out shorter and/or less frequent foraging trips, foraged closer to the hive, reported profitability flower patches be lower than did controls. These results suggest that caused a reduction ability, damaged adjusted their behaviour accordingly. Furthermore, nectar sources. have implications dynamics efficiency honeybees.
