摘要: Abstract Comparative studies are presented of the vibration characteristics circular cylindrical shells clamped at their base and which either unstiffened or discretely ring-stiffened. Results from application Rayleigh-Ritz method, use axisymmetric finite elements “exact” solutions governing differential equations problem. Reasonable correlation between various methods was shown particularly for lowest natural frequencies large length-to-radius ratio. For such assumption zero hoop shear strain has been to give considerable simplification without any significant loss accuracy. The effects ring eccentricity shell median plane have also discussed may be more less beneficial in raising frequency compared a symmetric with depending on size particular geometry.
