摘要: Marine angelfish (family: Pomacanthidae) are among the most sought-after fish species in saltwater aquarium trade. However, there is a lack of information literature on their early ontogeny. The objective this study was to describe embryonic and larval development two dwarf angelfish, bicolour Centropyge bicolor coral beauty bispinosa. eggs these were obtained from spontaneous spawning broodstock captivity incubated at 26.0 ± 0.2°C throughout study. Fertilized (n = 15) both transparent, pelagic spherical; mean diameters measured 703.6 7.8 μm for C. 627.6 possessed narrow perivitelline space, smooth thin chorion, homogenous non-segmented yolk as well single oil globule. Overall, observed pattern bispinosa very similar, main difference pigmentation pattern, which only became evident close hatching. Larvae started hatching 13 h 30 min after fertilization, characteristics also showed high levels similarities. mouth opening time 72 (AH) 96 AH In general, ontogeny resembled that other documented literature.
