摘要: Abstract Statistics attempt to provide meaning the DNA match or association between a question (Q) evidence sample and known (K) reference sample. This chapter will discuss some principles of statistics probability framework for generating statistic. A profile rarity estimate, commonly called random probability, is based on (1) alleles/genotypes present in profile, (2) population frequency estimates alleles/genotypes, (3) genetic formulas used account substructure degree relatedness.
