摘要: A coordinated study of physical, bio-optical, and sedimentary processes acoustic transmission was conducted on the New England shelf about 110 km south Cape Cod, Massachusetts, from September 1995 to August 1997. The experiment utilized several different observing platforms enabling measurements over space scales centimeters in vertical tens kilometers horizontal timescales minutes annual cycle. present report provides information concerning previous work region objectives, sampling methods, locations, timelines for experiment. Many results focus understanding interrelationships couplings among sedimentary, acoustical properties processes. Two hurricanes passed near site, novel research effects intense atmospheric forcing.
