摘要: White matter (WM) microstructural declines have been demonstrated in Alzheimer’s disease and amnestic mild cognitive impairment (aMCI). However, the pattern of WM changes aMCI after controlling for atrophy is unknown. Here, we address this issue through joint consideration alterations fractional anisotropy, mean diffusivity, axial radial as well macrostructural volume gray compartments. Participants were 18 individuals with 24 healthy seniors. Voxelwise analyses diffusion tensor imaging data was carried out using tract-based spatial statistics (TBSS) voxelwise high-resolution structural conducted voxel based morphometry. After atrophy, main TBSS findings indicated reduced anisotropy only small diffusivity/radial diffusivity/axial diffusivity. These bordered and/or connected to structures showing volumetric declines. none potential relationships between integrity significant, adding information improved classificatory accuracy compared use hippocampal alone. results suggest that provide unique not captured by measures may aid magnetic resonance contribution detection.
