摘要: Initial mandibular position might be a key factor leading to rapid therapeutic outcome in oral appliance therapy for patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). The purpose of this study was investigate the effects an adjustable on nasal resistance 7 nonapneic patients. Upright and supine measured each subject place 3 positions: most retruded (MAX0), maximum protrusion (MAX100), 67% MAX100 (MAX67). A significant decrease upright observed between MAX0 MAX67 (P < .01), but not MAX100. In addition, there positive correlation at change from indicating that when mandible advanced MAX67, more MAX0, greater reduction MAX67. These findings suggest indicated as initial gradual anterior titration beyond would give OSA by reducing resistance. Moreover, augmented have response therapy.
