摘要: When surface plasmons are excited at a metal-dielectric interface, the electromagnetic field takes very large value near interface. If dielectric is nonlinear Kerr medium, then effect of nonlinearity can be greatly amplified due to enhancement. In this paper, we calculate lateral shift p wave beams incident on multilayer systems in Otto configuration numerically exact manner, using invariant imbedding method propagation stratified media. linear case, find that becomes angles where excited. As turned on, changes rapidly. We even small change intensity cause huge shift. propose phenomenon applied designing precise optical switches operating powers.
