摘要: Background—In the last 3 decades, and from a therapeutic point of view, classical concept ischemic penumbra based on hemodynamic electrophysiological parameters has loosened up rigidity windows in acute stroke management. Thirty years later, is an evolved that presents more applications. Thus, diagnostic target, allowing extension windows; it also biochemical which intermittent bioenergetic compromise takes place, target for brain plasticity, neuroprotection, neurorepair. Summary Review—In this work, we review how been evolving its purely electrophysiological/ definition to wider metabolic–cellular–therapeutic managed today by neuroscientists.
