摘要: Purpose To determine the prevalence and characteristics of abruptly emerging vessels (AEVs) within patchy atrophy (PA) in myopic eyes. Methods We studied 160 highly eyes 144 patients between March November 2016. Fundus photographs swept-source optical coherence tomography images were analyzed. Results Patient mean age was 67.1 ± 10.5 years. Mean axial length 30.9 2.0 mm. The size 264 PAs 5.6 8.3 Abruptly detected 69 (43.1%) located or near PA edge fundus photographs. Swept-source showed that AEVs continuous with perforating scleral observed on inner surface sclera at site where they appeared A slight bowing around 41 (59%) Patchy significantly larger (10.7 11.3 mm) than without (3.4 5.1 mm). Conclusion are commonly found PA. surrounding is slightly bowed. Further studies needed to whether penetrating structurally more fragile leads Bruch membrane defects secondarily involved during progression.
