摘要: PURPOSE To describe focal scleral ectasia in areas of macular/perimacular patchy chorioretinal atrophy secondary to pathologic myopia. METHODS Thirty-nine consecutive patients with myopia and at least one eye, without ectasia, were analyzed by infrared reflectance (IR) and/or multicolor imaging, enhanced depth imaging optical coherence tomography (EDI-OCT) (39 patients, 78 eyes), swept source (SS)-OCT (13 out 39 26 eyes) cross-sectional scan. RESULTS Focal was found 12 68 eyes (11 27 females/12 males; mean age 65.7 ± 11.9 years) atrophy, always observed inferior or temporal the macula (mean 1.25 0.38/eye). appearing on fundus examination as a deep dark round/oval lesion well-defined borders, characterized EDI-OCT SS-OCT an abrupt posterior bow sclera different degrees schisis its borders. The retinal pigment epithelium choroid absent all lesions. IR showed large vessels that seem emerge from crossing area atrophy. revealed retrobulbar perforating borders/bottom (i.e., ectasia) running through superficial thickness for whole extension atrophic area. CONCLUSIONS We are localized border/bottom
