摘要: Twelve histologically-confirmed periapical granulomas were evaluated by conventional immunologic rosette assays for the presence of T-lymphocytes and complement receptor-bearing lymphocytes. A technique dispersing granuloma cells into suspensions was adopted to facilitate performance which not applicable tissue sections. Differential cell counts an acridine orange vital dye method disclosed that contained 30% macrophages, 44% lymphocytes, 15% plasma cells, 12% neutrophils. Complement comprised 17.9%, T 34.5% unseparated inflammatory cells. This study provides first direct evidence a predominance thymic-derived lymphocytes in lymphocyte compartment granuloma. Analysis data shows cell-mediated immunity most likely plays role pathogenesis
