摘要: Purpose of review This summarize the impact various strategies human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination, such as vaccinating only girls or both and boys. Recent findings Slow inefficient implementation HPV vaccination programmes has delayed first cancer vaccine. Vaccinating girls, with a rather low coverage, led to limited herd effect and, thus, not full use vaccine potential. Summary Gender-neutral based on comparative effectiveness research will hopefully soon tackle whole spectrum cancers in sexes. The remaining challenges are how ensure resilience vaccine-induced immunity guarantee population-level guard against type replacement.
