摘要: Both climate change and dam operations are affecting water levels in river systems worldwide their influence can be especially drastic upper streams, where juvenile salmonids hatch grow. However, efficient means of mitigating such on salmonid populations have not been developed, at least a practical manner throughout the world. In this study, we investigated effects declining structural complexity age-0 white-spotted charr (Salvelinus leucomaenis) tank pond experiments. Survival was lower shallow tanks (15 cm depth) than deeper ones. Similarly, more fish survived with artificial structures (cobbles Ringlong tape) compared to those without them. The grey heron (Ardea cinerea) most frequently observed predator during experiment, settlement ponds increased when were provided. These results suggest that loss may lead decrease by increasing predation risk interference competition.
