School Nutrition Programs and the Incidence of Childhood Obesity.

摘要: In light of the recent rise in childhood obesity, School Breakfast Program (SBP) and National Lunch (NSLP) have received renewed attention. Using panel data on over 13,500 primary school students, we assess relationship between SBP NSLP participation (relatively) long-run measures child weight. After documenting a positive association weight, no present evidence indicating selection into SBP. Allowing for even modest is sufficient to alter results, that valuable tool current battle against whereas exacerbates epidemic.
