摘要: Festivals are emerging worldwide as a growing and vibrant sector of the tourism leisure industries seen to have significant economic, socio-cultural, political impacts on destination area host groups. While there number scholars working developing valid models determine economic impact festivals communities, few studies published which focus social, cultural, and/or events. The purpose this paper, therefore, is degree festival attendance facilitates augmentation social capital by drawing upon literature from various disciplines in order conceptualize synergy between capital. To achieve this, paper will (1) examine relevant key characteristics ‘festivals’ distinct other events (2) investigate current uses notion ‘social capital’ within academic debates variety disciplinary contexts
