摘要: Development and homeostasis of multicellular organisms relies on an intricate balance between cell proliferation differentiation. Geminin regulates the cycle by directly binding inhibiting DNA replication licensing factor Cdt1. also interacts with transcriptional regulators differentiation chromatin remodelling factors, its balanced interactions are implicated in proliferation-differentiation decisions during development. Here, we describe Idas (Idas being a cousin Gemini Ancient Greek Mythology), previously uncharacterised coiled-coil protein related to Geminin. We show that human localizes nucleus, forms complex both cells vitro through mediated interactions, can change subcellular localization. does not associate Cdt1 prevents from vitro. depletion affects progression; accumulate S phase unable efficiently progress mitosis. levels decrease anaphase, whereas overexpression causes mitotic defects. During development, exhibits high level expression choroid plexus cortical hem mouse telencephalon. Our data highlight as novel partner, progression, putative regulator
