摘要: The CloudSat 2C-ICE data product is derived from a synergetic ice cloud retrieval algorithm that takes as input combination of radar reflectivity (Ze ) and Cloud-Aerosol Lidar Infrared Pathfinder Satellite Observation lidar attenuated backscatter profiles. uses variational method for retrieving profiles visible extinction coefficient, water content, particle effective radius in or mixed-phase clouds. Because the nature measurements to maintain consistency numerics, we choose parameterize (with appropriately large specification uncertainty) Ze regions cirrus layer where only provides data, respectively. To improve parameterization lidar-only region, relations among , extinction, temperature have been more thoroughly investigated using Atmospheric Radiation Measurement long-term millimeter Raman measurements. This first-order estimation function layers. effects this new evaluated radiation closure methods radiative fluxes retrieved compare favorably with Clouds Earth's Radiant Energy System Results will be made publicly available entire record (since 2006) most recent release known R05.
