The Graf stabilisation system: early results in 50 patients

摘要: The results of the first 50 consecutive patients using Graf stabilisation system are presented. average age was 41 years; there were 32 women and 18 men in group. All suffered from intractable symptomatic degenerative disc disease which could be localised to one or more levels. gave a history chronic back pain, but mean period severe disability 24 months. preoperative score (Oswestry questionnaire) 59%. follow-up months (range 19–36 months). At latest review, ability 31%. clinical classified as “excellent” “good” 72% patients, “fair” 10%, “the same” 16% “worse” 2%. three felt that surgery worthwhile. have not deteriorated over follow-up.
