摘要: Abstract The release of the model polypeptide drug bovine serum albumin (BSA) from macroporous ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer matrices has been investigated over a wide range loadings and particle sizes. At low fraction is released relatively quickly matrix surface, but remainder virtually trapped within at an extremely slaw rate. high all released. A simple trapping, based on modification to percolation theory, proposed. predictions are qualitatively in agreement with data, unable predict certain quantitative features. It suggested that discrepancies due nonuniform distribution matrices, which shown exist by scanning electron microscopy.
