摘要: The electronic structure of Ag(001) with an adsorbed overlayer Xe is calculated in external electric fields varying strength. screening mostly takes place on the top surface Ag atoms, polarization atom. variation centroid charge (the image plane) field strength studied, and it found that adsorption reduces non-linear response compared clean surface. distribution between various atoms using a generalized effective charge, directly underneath enhanced. gives derivative force at respect to field, phenomena field-induced chemisorption desorption are discussed these terms.
