摘要: BACKGROUND We wished to study the therapy for lower limb amputees at Sorlandet Hospital Kristiansand after restructuring of activities in 2004.MATERIAL AND METHOD All hospitalised Department Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation between March 2012 July 2015 were followed up prospectively.RESULTS A total 50 patients with 54 amputations least three months. Altogether 31 transtibial amputations, 22 transfemoral one knee disarticulation performed. The median age was 66 years, 36 whom men, Charlson comorbidity index 1.5, 14 smoked, 8 substance abusers, 9 able walk 2 km preoperatively, 44 performed myodesis, 41 transferred directly Rehabilitation. At three-month check-up, 48 used their custom-made prostheses, average walk-test time 21 seconds, 45 lived own home. one-year 32 35 who attended 18 seconds. Use painkillers declined during period. Advanced age, amputation abuse associated longer check-up.INTERPRETATION Most achieved a good level function, appears be functioning satisfactorily.
